I successfully bent the two posts for the bench the other day. Below are some of the details and a video of the action. Here’s the half tapered tenon I was talking about in the last post.

These posts have a floating tenon in the tops for the false miter joint. I’ve found it easiest to drill after turning and before bending. I use a Jacobs chuck on the lathe for this.
