My pal Aspen Golann told me a story about a birthday party her mother planned that took place over a couple of days. Somewhere in the middle of the events, little Aspen burst into tears, it was too much birthday. I think about this a lot, especially when all the things I love doing add up to too much. Right now is one of those times. I’m just coming off a rocker class, my house is being reroofed, I’m installing a woodstove, designing a piece with Aspen and finishing off my video series. There’s more, but I don’t want to be overly dramatic. So I decided to pause my substack for a few weeks. This means your subscription will also pause until I return, you won’t lose any time that you’ve paid for access. I can’t tell you what a great difference your support here makes in my life. It enables me to focus on projects and interests that I simply couldn’t afford to do otherwise.
One of the most exciting projects is the barn to workshop construction, which will begin in a few weeks. There’s still lots of legwork I need to do before we get started, but I’m thrilled to get it going.
My main goal in these next few weeks (when I hope to return here) is to wrap up the Temple Chair video and Handbook. Here is a rough edit from the video showing my process for rounding out the spindles on the Temple chair. Thanks again for your patience and support.
Lots of eustress it sounds like
Did you mention the dimensions for the top and bottom of the spindle/practice blocks?
