Wow! From one Sue to another, well done, Sue! Your Temple Stool is just beautiful, and you are obviously a natural! And we Sues are so smart that we go to Pete for teaching. It comes with the name.

Pete, you are right: we should give men flowers. Of course we should!

I wish I had known about the event, I would have tried to make it there. I too used to prowl all over that collection. It has 2 Jennie Alexander chairs, now displayed in the 20th century gallery -pulled from seating. Probably the same thought process used in Dave's case. I remember seeing Dave's comb back there, one of my favorite chairs. I hope they told some Jonathan Fairbanks stories, my understanding is that he started the collection. He has a million stories...some of them are even true.

I should have told you, I was too busy trying to not make a fool of myself

I might have bailed anyway, traffic.

We all know who the real rock star is... Pete himself!! He has incredible talent not only for crafting transcendent chairs but also for sharing his knowledge and bringing out the best in his students. Thank you Pete!

Pete, big thanks for the great instruction and sharing in the turning intensive. I picked up a lot and have been putting the skew to work since I got back. Looking forward to the Helix class in May. Congratulation on the "Meeting Bench". Hope to get into the museum on the next trip and see it and the other chairs in the collection.
