first off, thank you for both your thoughts here & the opportunity to teach at your shop. You know how I feel about it, but it's worth saying to the readers here - I am honored to work with you. Your enthusiasm for teaching is infectious and you make it easy & rewarding for us to do it. There's a reason I only teach in a couple of places now. And beyond that, yes, great to see Joel out & about. Let's get him to come hang out next week...
Pete, You are the teacher extraordinare. I learn from you every time I'm there -- woodworking and beyond. I'll just echo Follansbee's sentiments. I'm lucky and honored to be a part of what you are doing. Congratulations on the shop progress, and it's great to see Joel sharing his experience, wit, and wisdom.
Peter, the gift of teaching is one of the few experiences in life that brings equal joy to the instructor as it does to the recipient. You have mastered that talent, my friend and your legacy will be carried on by the many individuals who will grace your shop and take from that experience, the enthusiasm and the joy that
working with one’s hands inevitably brings. Thank you for all that you do, and for all that you will accomplish and share in the years to come, Mike D.
Spring is a time for renewal and how appropriate it is for you to be moving into your new shop! I must say that I will miss the old shop in the mill…so many good times there and so many friendships made. But I know it’s time to move on and I’m looking forward to being there in June! Thank you for all you’ve taught me and also thank you for bringing the variety of other instructors into my journey. I’m excited about what this move will bring!
Your vision meeting your new space in this post is quite powerful. Thank you Peter for the depth of your commitment to the craft and your wisdom in pulling together the right teachers to embody it. I see a whole new chapter coming in Follansbee's genealogy book.
I remember reading about Mr Joel Paul’s accident/ illness from Eric Robinson at The Vintage Tool Shoppe. It’s great to hear about his recovery! Your passion for teaching these techniques and skills and the creativity you bring to the work leads to all kinds of benefits and accomplishments for everyone in your classes.

The chairs looks splendid but not as splendid as seeing Joel fully upright and functioning on all cylinders. Bravo, Joel.
